Sling TV Is the Cheapest Way to Watch Pac-12 Football

Last Updated:

It’s hard to say what the Pac-12 Conference will look like in 2024 but right now it remains one of the best conferences in the NCAA. And you can watch all the games you want with Sling TV. Read on to get all the details!

In a hurry? Pac-12 games are mostly divided between Fox Sports and ESPN. As a result, you need to sign up for the Sling Orange & Blue plan for $55.00/mo. This will allow you to watch most games. Pac-12 Conference Football Channels

The Pac-12 Conference broadcasts most of its games through Fox Sports and ESPN channels. Most games can be seen on:

There are some games on other channels. In particular, there are some early games on CBS or CBS Sports Network. If you want to watch these games, you should be able to find them through Paramount+ (Black Friday deal).

We will discuss how to get the main Pac-12 channels below.

Streaming Pac-12 Football With Sling TV

Sling Orange & Blue costs $55.00/mo (or $5/mo more if it is in an area with access to ABC). It includes the Sling Blue plan, which comes with ABC, Fox, and NBC (select markets) as well as FS1 and NFL Network. And this is combined with the Sling Orange plan, which comes with ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN3.

You could get either of these plans by themselves and still see a lot of Pac-12 football games. But if you want complete control over what you watch, you will need the Orange & Blue plan.

Sling Orange & Blue comes with 46 channels. These include Bravo, Discovery, The Disney Channel, Fox News, Freeform, FX, MotorTrend, MSNBC, National Geographic, QVC, and USA Network. It also comes with 25 channels that the standalone Blue and Orange plans offer: Adult Swim, AMC, BBC America, BET, Cartoon Network, CNN, Comedy Central, Food Network, HGTV, Lifetime, Nick Jr, TBS, TNT, and more.

Sports Extra

The Pac-12 Network airs a lot of games (and a ton more of other sports). Fans will want to have it. It is available with the Sports Extra add on. It is $11/mo when combined with a single plan, but $15/mo with Orange & Blue.

But you get a lot with it: ACC Network, ACC Network Extra, beIN Sports, Big Ten Network, ESPNU, ESPNews, FS2, Golf Channel, Longhorn Network, MLB Network, MLB Network Strike Zone, NBA TV, NFL RedZone, NHL Network, Pac-12 Network (main and regional channels), and SEC Network, SEC Network, Plus, and Tennis Channel.

Features

Sling Orange & Blue comes with 50 hours of cloud DVR storage.

In terms of how many people can stream at one time, things are a bit complicated. You can stream on up to 3 devices at once with the Blue channels but only one with the Orange channels. Basically, it means that people can’t be watching ESPN in two different rooms. But you will be fine with ESPN in one room, NFL Network in another, and TNT in a third.

Sling TV allows you to stream on most devices in use today. See our Sling TV Device Guide for a complete list. But here are the main devices:

  • Amazon Fire TV
  • Android Mobile
  • Android TV smart TVs
  • Apple TV
  • Chromecast
  • iOS
  • LG smart TVs
  • Oculus VR systems
  • Roku
  • Samsung smart TVs
  • Vizio smart TVs
  • Web browsers
  • Xbox One gaming systems

Sling TV Advantages

Sling TV is known primarily for its low price. The only service that really comes close is Vidgo. There is no way to get ESPN for less money. At $55.00/mo, it is substantially less than Fubo, DIRECTV STREAM, Hulu + Live TV, and YouTube TV.

But to us, the best thing about Sling TV is its unmatched customization. It allows you to get the channels you want rather than getting hundreds you will never watch. We go over all the Sling TV channel options. Check it out before you sign up!
