Looking for the best options for a Newsmax TV live stream? You have a lot of options. Read our guide below!

In a hurry? If you just want to start streaming Newsmax, these services all provide it with great overall plans:

  • Sling TV: This low-cost streaming service provides Newsmax as part of its News Extra add-on for a total of just $41/mo for over 55 channels. Try it for a month for just $10!
  • FuboTV: Get well over 100 channels for $64.99/mo including a ton of news and sports. Try it free for 7 days!
  • DirecTV Stream: Transition easily from cable with their Entertainment plan for $69.99/mo. Comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee!

Newsmax TV was founded in 2014 as a broadcast version of Newsmax Media, which has maintained an online presence since 1998. But the conservative news network really took off during the 2020 US presidential election.

When Fox News called Arizona for Biden, Newsmax TV refused to throw in the towel and continues to provide a new home for those who feel Fox News Channel is going mainstream. (Not to worry: all the services we highlight here also provide Fox News!)

As it fits a company that came up online, Newsmax is widely available with streaming services so you won’t have to rely on cable to see every minute of Greg Kelly Reports.

How to Watch Newsmax TV Live Without Cable

Newsmax TV is owned by Newsmax Media as an independent news network. It has positioned itself as a direct rival to Fox News Channel as a source for conservative news and opinion. Other right-of-center newcomers include One America News Network (OANN) and The First TV (The F1rst).

Newsmax TV was originally launched on DirecTV and the Dish Network as a satellite channel (DirecTV Stream carries it today) but has at times been carried by broadcast network TV stations as well.

The biggest thing that makes Newsmax TV different from other cable news stations is not that it has its own app. Lots of news and non-news channels have that. What is special about Newsmax TV is that its app does not require a TV Everywhere compatible login to watch.

Newsmax TV is free to all. But if you want to watch more than just Newsmax TV, you’ll need one of the streaming services discussed below.

Streaming Services with Newsmax TV

The two live TV streaming giants, Hulu + Live TV and YouTube TV, don’t offer Newsmax. Neither does Philo, but that isn’t surprising given that they don’t offer any cable news channels. Vidgo used to offer it but recently dropped it (they still offer OANN, however).

Three of the major streaming services do still include Newsmax: FuboTV, Sling TV, and DirecTV Stream. Plus there are a number of smaller streaming platforms that support it as a channel or app (more about those later).

The larger streaming services are designed to be total cable replacements, carrying most or all of the channels you would get from a cable or satellite subscription, but for less money and without any contracts or hidden fees.

FuboTV

FuboTV specializes in sports, but they’ve got a great overall plan with 100+ channels. This includes a fair bit of news too. They offer 13 news/information channels plus all the local network affiliates so you don’t need to miss out on what’s happening locally.

Newsmax TV is right there in their Starter package, which is $64.99/mo (with a 7-day free trial). This comes with 250 hours of Cloud DVR and the capability of watching on up to 3 screens at a time.

Sling TV

Sling TV is the most affordable full cable replacement service, at just $35/mo for its Orange or Blue packages, or $50 for both. Both plans include 50 hours of Cloud DVR and the Blue package can stream on up to 3 devices at a time.

Sling TV doesn’t cover local stations quite as comprehensively as the other two, but they do have NBC and Fox in most areas as part of their Blue Plan.

You won’t find Newsmax TV in either base package, but it is part of the News Extra add-on for just $6/mo more. This means you can get Sling TV with Newsmax TV from $41 per month.

You’ll find more information in our thorough Sling TV review.

DirecTV Stream

DirecTV Stream

DirecTV Stream (formerly AT&T TV) is the most expensive service on this list, but also offers a lot. It includes Newsmax TV in all its packages, as well as One American News Network. It’s the only major streaming outlet to carry OANN.

DirecTV Stream starts at $69.99/mo for its 65+ channel Entertainment package, which comes with only 20 hours of cloud DVR but a whopping 20 simultaneous screens. (You can upgrade to unlimited DVR for $10/mo extra.)

All packages come with a full slate of local network stations. The 90+ channel Choice package is $84.99/mo and includes regional sports channels. The Choice and higher packages also include 3 months free of HBO Max.
