If you love animated content, get ready! Netflix has signed a multi-year production commitment overall deal with the award-winning animation studio Titmouse to produce multiple original adult animated series.

Netflix and Titmouse have worked together previously on the critically-acclaimed and Emmy nominated Big Mouth from Brutus Pink and the upcoming series The Midnight Gospel from Pendleton Ward and Duncan Trussell. This freshly signed deal expands this existing relationship for new original animated series as well as gives Netflix first look on any new content developed by Titmouse.

“When Netflix asked if we wanted to go stead, we were thrilled. When we asked if it could be an open relationship, they said, ‘Yeah, of course. It’s the 21st century, kid. That’s the only way we’ll have it.’ Now we are friends with benefits and I couldn’t be more stoked,” said Titmouse president and founder, Chris Prynoski. “This new and exciting relationship will help quench our relentless thirst for producing animated cartoons. Excuse me, I’m gonna go carve NF+TM on a tree now.”

Titmouse produces high-quality cartoons, by an in-house team, for viewers of all ages and interests. The company is known for series such as Big Mouth, Venture Bros., Tigtone, Black Dynamite, Metalocalypse, and Superjail!.

“Titmouse has been at the forefront of the evolving animation industry and is the creative force behind an impressive variety of projects,” said Mike Moon, Head of adult animation for Netflix. “We’re thrilled to expand our collaboration with Chris, Shannon, and the entire team at Titmouse as we continue to develop and produce bold original animation together.”

This move comes on the tail of Netflix’s big wins at the 17th Annual Annie Awards where BoJack Horseman took home the trophy for Best TV/Media for General Audience. As the competition for streaming services intensifies, Netflix’s expanded partnership with Titmouse will help the company bolster its efforts to invest in the animated space and produce the content their subscribers want.
