The Hockey Hall of Fame has been inducting members since 1945, though the permanent HHOF building in Toronto wouldn’t open until 1961, and the current location has only been in use since 1993. It serves as both a museum of the history of ice hockey and an international Hall of Fame for hockey players, “builders” (managers, coaches, owners, and commentators), and on-ice officials. Women have been eligible as candidates since 2010.

The 2023 Hockey Hall of Fame Induction celebration will be televised live from the Allen Lambert Galleria at Brookfield Place in Toronto, Canada on Monday, November 13, 2023 at Eastern.
In the US, it will be televised live on NHL Network.

How to Watch the 2023 Hockey Hall of Fame Induction on Sling TV
Sling TV features two base plans: Orange and Blue. Orange is centered around ESPN channels, while Blue features NBC and Fox networks. Either one is $40.00/mo. You can also get both of them together, Sling Orange + Blue, for $55.00/mo.

- Pierre Lacroix (1994-2006): Manager credited with two Stanley Cups (1996 and 2001), Quebec Nordiques/Colorado Avalanche
- Henrik Lundqvist (2000-2020): Only NHL goaltender with 30 wins in each of his first seven seasons, New York Rangers
- Caroline Ouellette (1999-2018): 4 Olympic gold medals, 12 IIHF Women’s World Championship medals (6 gold, 6 silver), 12 Four Nations Cup Medals (8 gold, 4 silver), and 4 Clarkson Cup championships, Canadiennes de Montreal (CWHL)
- Pierre Turgeon (1987-2007): Scored over 500 goals, St. Louis Blues
Notable Players Considered for 2023 Hockey Hall of Fame Induction
These players were eligible, but didn’t make it this year:
- Mike Vernon: 7th in regular-season wins (385), 4th goalie in playoff appearances (138), 5th goalie in playoff wins (77), highest number of playoff appearances (81) and wins (43) with the Calgary Flames
- Alexander Mogilny: First player to defect from the Soviet Union to play for the NHL, broke ground for future Russians to play in North America, a Triple Gold winner, and top goalscorer
