Last Updated:

Hockey season is in full swing, puck fans, and that means now it’s time to honor past giants at the 2023 Hockey Hall of Fame induction ceremony. You can watch the upcoming event for less money with Sling TV.

In a hurry? The induction ceremony will be held at Eastern on Monday, November 13, and it will air live on the NHL Network in the United States. The cheapest place to watch it is Sling TV. Save 50% on your first month of Sling TV.

The Hockey Hall of Fame has been inducting members since 1945, though the permanent HHOF building in Toronto wouldn’t open until 1961, and the current location has only been in use since 1993. It serves as both a museum of the history of ice hockey and an international Hall of Fame for hockey players, “builders” (managers, coaches, owners, and commentators), and on-ice officials. Women have been eligible as candidates since 2010.

How to Watch the 2023 Hockey Hall of Fame Induction on Sling TV

Sling TV features two base plans: Orange and Blue. Orange is centered around ESPN channels, while Blue features NBC and Fox networks. Either one is $40.00/mo. You can also get both of them together, Sling Orange + Blue, for $55.00/mo.

Orange has over 30 channels, and you can only stream it on one device at a time. Blue has over 40 channels, and you can stream on up to 3 devices at once. The Orange + Blue plan has over 50 channels, and you can stream on up to 4 devices. Both plans come with 50 hours of DVR storage, upgradable to 200 for a fee.

Both plans also have a stable of add-on bundles, called Extras. The Sports Extra comes with 12-14 additional sports networks, which vary depending whether you have Sling Orange or Blue, but either one will include the NHL Network. The Sports Extra is $11 additional, or $15 if you get all 20 channels from both the Orange and Blue Sports Extra.

Why Sling?

As of this writing, Sling Blue or Orange + Sports Extra is $51/mo. But, like Sling, the two other streaming services that carry it do not include it with their lowest-priced plan. What do they run?

  • Fubo: $89.99/mo for the Elite package
  • DIRECTV STREAM: $119.99/mo for the Ultimate package

Hulu + Live TV, Philo, and YouTube TV don’t even carry it.

The numbers speak for themselves.
