The Abu Dhabi GP has been part of the FIA Formula 1 world championship since 2009. It’s the final race of the season, and will continue to be the season finale through at least 2030, bookending the F1 year with the first race, the Bahrain GP. This year, it follows the new Las Vegas Grand Prix.

The race venue is the Yas Marina Circuit on Yas Island, near Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

Last year, Max Verstappen won first place, Charles Leclerc came second, and Verstappen’s teammate Sergio Perez came third. Overall, Lewis Hamilton has won the most times, five, with Sebastian Vettel and Verstappen tying for second with three wins each.
