Super Bowl LVIII

The 2023 Super Bowl took place on Sunday, February 12nd at at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. However, this year’s event will be held at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.

The Super Bowl is the final event of the NFL season and while this year’s teams have yet to be decided, you can almost rest assured that we are in for a treat.

This year’s event is set to be broadcast in Spanish on TelevisaUnivision for the first time, a departure from previous years when the Spanish-language rights were broadcast on Fox Deportes, Telemundo, and elsewhere.

But the “Big Game” is bigger than just the game. Many people tune in for the halftime show, which will be performed by RnB star Usher this year, and the premiere of many TV commercials.

This year’s Wild Card Round will be broadcast between January 13th-15th 2024 in Spanish in the US on ESPN Deportes, Fox Deportes, Telemundo, and, UNIVERSO.

How to Watch the NFL Regular Season in Spanish

For all those fans that follow almost every American football game, note that Sunday Night Football normally airs on Telemundo Deportes while Monday Night Football normally airs on ESPN Deportes.

Unfortunately, Thursday Night Football is not normally broadcasted in Spanish, but you can watch it in English with Amazon Prime Video.

Fox Deportes is scheduled to show 12 regular season games this year. Meanwhile, CBS Sports doesn’t have a separate Spanish-language channel, but it does offer a Spanish-language option.

Note that you can watch all these games through English-language channels and tune into a Spanish radio broadcast for audio. See below for details.

Stream the NFL Playoffs

You can watch the games on ABC, CBS, Fox, and NBC for free and listen in to the Spanish-language broadcast on the radio.

Alternatively, if the game is being shown on Univision or Telemundo you may be able to pick up a local broadcast in your area.

Otherwise, you will need to go with a streaming service. Luckily, you have plenty of good options:

  • Fubo (formerly FuboTV): Provides well over 100 channels with Fox Deportes as an add-on or the low-cost Latino plan that includes it alongside ESPN Deportes, Univision, and others. (FuboTV review)
  • DIRECTV STREAM: Get the Español add-on with 55 channels, including all those that show NFL playoffs. (DIRECTV STREAM review)
  • Hulu + Live TV: The Spanish add-on gives Fox Deportes and others with the base 85+ live TV channel plan. However, Hulu does not currently carry Univision. (Hulu Live review)
  • Vidgo: Get Fox Deportes with either the English or Spanish plans. (Vidgo review)
  • YouTube TV: Comes with 100+ channels, and Fox Deportes, ESPN Deportes, Telemundo, and Univision come with the Spanish Plus add-on.

Sling TV is generally a great streaming service for Spanish-language content. It offers a great selection of channels and plans. However, it does not offer Fox Deportes for some reason. But it’s worth checking out.

FAQs

How can I listen to the NFL playoffs in Spanish?

All NFL playoff games are broadcast on the radio in the US through Entravision. This is important because it means you don’t have to find any given NFL playoff matchup on a Spanish-language channel. You can watch it on an English-language channel, mute it, and use the radio signal for audio.
