Vevo Review: What do Music Lovers See in This Video Service?

Last Updated:

VEVO is a music video website and platform that streams high-quality music videos by both box office artists, and up and comers.

VEVO Music Videos

What is Vevo?

Three major record labels offers their music video products on Vevo, including Sony Music Entertainment, EMI and Universal Music Group, which is a substantial share of the American music industry.

Currently, more than 50,000 music videos are offered to viewers by Vevo through their website www.vevo.com, but also on YouTube.

Vevo is also available on major mobile platforms such as iPhone and Android, and also on other types of entertainment platforms such as Google TV and Xbox 360.

Currently Vivo is avaible online, and through the following streaming devices: iPhone | iPad | Android | Windows Phone | Blackberry | Xbox | Boxee

Vevo CEO Rio Caraeff  explained to the New York Post recently that the music-video service offers a “mix of programming, live events and archived performances” on television. The company is working with a variety of Internet TV manufacturers and set-top boxes to bring its brand everywhere from Apple to Google TV.

“We’re 100% music-video and music-programming content–and MTV is not,” said David Kohl, VP of sales and operations at Vevo. “If someone is truly looking for original music content, Vevo is by far still No. 1.”

VEVO Music as a Cable TV Alternative

Many people are increasingly concerned about the high cost of their cable TV bill. However, few fully recognize the amazing number of cable TV alternatives available.

With the Internet being widely available and the increase in video streaming platforms such as YouTube, Vimeo, Vevo, Hulu, among many others, cable TV users are presented with a unique opportunity to save up to $100 a month on Cable or Dish TV.

Vevo is one of these great web platforms, especially if you are enthusiastic about the music industry, like watching new music video releases and are interested in staying current on the latest songs by your favorite artists.

Because Vevo music video content comes from three out of the top four record labels, the selection is incredible.

There are so many reasons to stop paying for cable or dish TV, that you probably did not need another one. However, for music enthusiasts and people who like to stay connected to the pulse of modern music, Vevo is a major reason to start saving money today.

You can enjoy your favorite music videos online for free, and there are new video releases on Vevo every day. Make sure to read about other excellent cable TV alternatives such as the Mohu Leaf, Vimeo, Hulu, and many more.

I understand it also features the high-quality videos supplied by the world leading record labels like Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group, EMI and Warner Music Group. More than 50,000 videos including clips, live concerts and exclusive interviews…great replacement to YouTube

I agree, except for the replacement part 😉
The idea is to build out your own Online TV channel Guide. And adding Vevo to that list is a great first step.

unfortunately Vevo is not available in my area, i wish they’ll find a way to make this accessible anywhere

You can try signing up for a VPN service. They cost around $9 a month and you can then sign up for services like this without issue. I have used VyperVPN – check them out.

Vevo indeed is a great platform, very relaxing, i enjoy watching my fave artists, latest music and oldies as well. It is incredible to know that cable TV alternatives support this program, looking forward to my $100 off a month…

Totally, are you saving money yet? How are you spending your new savings?
