About the Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks had an entertaining 2022 campaign. It started out with low expectations, particularly considering the loss of quarterback Russell Wilson. However, his backup, Geno Smith, played admirably in leading the team to a 6-3 start. But Seattle then stumbled, going 1-5 in its next six outings, before picking it up with wins over the Jets and Rams to close the regular season.

Then, perhaps unsurprisingly, it finally came to an end, when the division-rival 49ers pulled away in the second half to send the Seahawks tumbling out of the playoffs, courtesy of a 41-23 scoreline.

It is expected that Smith will return to lead the Seahawks offense in 2023. At least that is what he and head coach Pete Carroll both want. The question is if the business side of things can be worked out.
