Sling Orange Package ($35/Month)

Total Channels: 30+
Cost Per Month:
Target Audience: Sports fans, general

The Sling Orange package is one of Sling’s most popular plans and for good reason. It provides a very affordable way to watch live TV – including live sports – without cable.

Networks like ESPN, AMC, TNT, and Comedy Central are some highlights of this package, although looking at the full channel list, you’ll see that there’s a diverse mix of channels available.

The main thing missing from this lineup is Sling TV local channels like NBC and FOX – which are included in Sling Blue, discussed below.

Sling Blue Package ($35/Month)

Total Channels: 40+
Cost Per Month:
Target Audience: Families, movie fans, general

The Sling Blue package offers significantly more channels than Sling Orange, and also adds local networks like Fox and NBC (in select areas). However, it does NOT include the ESPN family of networks. It still has Fox Sports 1, though.

This is the biggest difference between the two plans – Orange has ESPN’s networks, while Blue loses ESPN but gains local networks. The best Sling TV package for you just depends on your viewing preferences.

Sling Orange + Blue Package ($50/Month)

Total Channels: 50+
Cost Per Month:
Target Audience: Everyone

Sling Orange + Blue combines the best of both worlds, offering all the channels that are included in both base packages. You also get $70 worth of packages for just $50. The Orange + Blue combo also opens up the opportunity to access all add-ons, since add-on plans like AMC+ and Kids Extra are exclusive to Orange and Blue plans only.

For viewers who want sports networks, local channels, and a solid base of entertainment channels, Sling Orange + Blue is a great option.

What About Add-Ons?

In addition to the Sling TV base packages, users can choose from a wide variety of add-ons to expand their channel selection. Most of these packages cover specific topics, such as sports or entertainment.

Also, note that for some packages, the selection of channels that are added varies depending on what base package you have. This is mostly because subscribers of Sling Orange may already have some of the channels included in an expansion pack, while subscribers to Sling Blue may not.

So, Sling offers slightly different channels in the expansion packs, depending on which base plan you have. If you have both, there are no restrictions. Of the extras listed below, you can get all available packs with your Sling TV plan for $21 per month, or get four of them for $13.

Sling also offers international channels and bundles — see this guide to what languages are supported.

Sling TV Package Deals and Bonus Features

Keep in mind that deals can change frequently – check out this list of Sling TV offers for up-to-date information.

So here are the two main add-on deals you can get:

Total TV Deal – $21 per month

The Total TV Deal adds all the channels included in Sports Extra, Kids Extra, News Extra, Lifestyle Extra, Heartland Extra, Hollywood Extra, and Comedy Extra. It also gives you enhanced cloud DVR. In total, all these add-ons would cost $40+ per month if purchased separately, so $21/month for this bundle is a great deal.

4 Extras Deal – $13 per month

The 4 Extras Deal is also a good value. It adds the four most popular expansion packs, at a discounted price. This adds all the channels from Kids Extra, Comedy Extra, News Extra and Lifestyle Extra.

Final Thoughts

This may seem like a lot of information to digest. Fortunately, Sling TV’s user interface is well designed, and the channels available to you are made clear during the signup process.

For those that are new to Sling TV, we recommend signing up for one of the base packages using the free 7-day trial. That will give you time to explore the service, and see if it includes enough channels. If you’re craving more selection, you can simply add some expansion packs whenever you want.

And remember, Sling TV is non-contract (as are all of the add-ons), so you’re never locked in for more than a month at a time!

Nope. Try fubo, free 7 trial, else $55 with family sharing and 500 hour DVR. Has Fox News plus tons(!) of sports. I mentioned it I don’t watch sports I’ve got too many other cerebral things in my life but with family sharing it’s kind of nice because then you’re pretty much splitting it with your significant other. I have sos exactly the same price that Hulu plus live TV package is also $55 per month now sling used to be 30 bucks per month +5 dollars for the news package but recently they drop Fox News from their lineup. Bunch of liberals

No this is an Internet Claire bear includes a DVR and a significant number of channels for the price but it does not include Fox News who is the only fair and balanced network left on cable

I don’t know what Siri did there but it is an Internet access TV content Claire no satellite dish is needed nor is a cable subscription needed like many other sites that say that they are Internet TV sites. I ran sling for two years when they first open they had a lot of promises about bringing Fox News on and on, although through the years since they started they’ve got a really clean Service going, but I’m not going back because they are really crazy with your liberal policies and they hate Fox News and
