Sling TV Packages: Overview
We’ll get into the detailed Sling TV channels list below, but first let’s start with an overview of what’s on offer.
Sling TV has two “base” packages, and then options to expand your selection with add-ons. You can also get both base packages at a discounted rate. Here’s a breakdown:
Sling Orange – $25 per month – 30+ channels (including ESPN networks)
Sling Blue – $25 per month – 40+ channels (does not include ESPN networks)
Sling Orange + Blue – $40 per month – 50+ channels (includes everything in Orange and Blue combined)
On top of these, there are over a dozen add-on packages that allow you to expand your channel selection with additions from certain categories. For instance, there is a sports package you can add-on, a lifestyle package, etc. Details on these Sling TV packages can be found below.
Keep in mind that you can try a free 7 day trial of any of these packages.
Sling TV Packages – Detailed Breakdown
Now, let’s take a closer look at the various Sling TV plans to get a better idea for which one might be the best option for your viewing preferences (and budget).
Sling Orange Package ($25/Month)
Total Channels: 30+
Cost Per Month: $25
Channel List: ESPN, Disney Channel, A&E, TNT, AMC, HGTV, CNN, TBS, Comedy Central, History, IFC, Food Network, BBC America, Investigation Discovery, Travel Channel, Cartoon Network, Epix Drive-In, Lifetime, Viceland, AXS.TV, Fuse, Newsy, ESPN2, ESPN3, Freeform, Bloomberg TV, Motortrend, Cheddar Business, Cheddar News, Local Now, Comet, Stadium
The Sling Orange package is one of Sling’s most popular, and for good reason. It provides a very affordable way to watch live TV – including live sports – without cable. Networks like ESPN, AMC, TNT, and Comedy Central are some highlights of this package, although looking at the full channel list, you’ll see that there’s a good diverse mix of channels available. The main thing missing from this lineup is Sling TV local channels like NBC and FOX – which are included in Sling Blue, discussed below. Click here to try a free 7 day trial.
Sling Blue Package ($25/Month)
Total Channels: 40+
Cost Per Month: $25
Channel List: USA, NFL Network, Bravo, TNT, AMC, HGTV, CNN, TBS, Comedy Central, History, A&E, IFC, Food Network, BBC America, Investigation Discovery, Travel Channel, Cartoon Network, Epix Drive-In, Lifetime, Viceland, AXS.TV, Fuse, Newsy, Bloomberg TV, Cheddar Business, Cheddar News, Local Now, Discovery, FOX, NBC, NBC Sports, FX, TLC, NBCSN, FXX, FS1, FS2, Nick JR, SyFy, National Geographic, Nat Geo WILD, BET, TruTV, Stadium, Comet, E!, and Paramount Network
The Sling Blue package offers significantly more channels than Sling Orange, and also adds local networks like FOX and NBC (in select areas). However, it does NOT include the ESPN family of networks. This is the biggest difference between the two plans – Orange has ESPN’s networks, while Blue looses ESPN but gains local networks. The best Sling TV package for you just depends on your viewing preferences. Click here to try a free 7 day trial.

What About Add-Ons?
In addition to the Sling TV base packages, users can choose from a wide variety of add-ons to expand their channel selection. Most of these packages cover specific topics, such as sports or entertainment. Find details on Sling TV add-ons below.
Also, note that for some packages, the selection of channels that are added vary depending on what base package you have. Premium Channels on Sling TV
In addition to the Sling TV channels already discussed, Sling offers a variety of premium channels. These are available for an additional cost, and are not included in any of the base packages or normal add-ons.
Highlights include Showtime ($10/month), Starz ($9/month), Epix ($5/month), and many more. You can see the full list of premium channels on Sling TV during the signup process.
Sling TV Package Deals & Bonus Features
In addition to the packages already discussed, Sling TV offers a number of bundled add-ons at a discounted price. There are also some extra features that you can purchase to enhance your viewing experience. Keep in mind that deals can change frequently – check out this list of Sling TV offers for up-to-date information.
Total TV Deal – $20 per month
The Total TV Deal adds all the channels included in Sports Extra, Kids Extra, News Extra, Lifestyle Extra, Heartland Extra, Hollywood Extra, and Comedy Extra. It also gives you enhanced cloud DVR. In total, all these add-ons would cost $45/month if purchased separately, so $20/month for this bundle is a great deal.
4 Extras Deal – $10 per month
The 4 Extras Deal is also a good value. It adds the four most popular expansion packs, at a discounted price. This adds all the channels from Kids Extra, Comedy Extra, News Extra and Lifestyle Extra.
This may seem like a lot of information to digest. Fortunately, Sling TV’s user interface is well designed, and the channels available to you are made clear during the signup process.
For those that are new to Sling TV, we recommend signing up for one of the base packages using the free 7-day trial. That will give you time to explore the service, and see if it includes enough channels. If you’re craving more selection, you can simply add some expansion packs whenever you want.
And remember, Sling TV is non-contract (as are all of the add-ons), so you’re never locked in for more than a month at a time!
