With PlayStation Vue shutting down its service, you can now watch Hulu with Live TV on PS4 consoles. This is the first time Hulu with Live TV is accessible on PlayStation consoles since the service started three years ago.

Previously, PlayStation Vue was in direct competition with Hulu Live TV, streaming live TV and on-demand content with a cloud-based DVR system. The service shut shop in January 2020 after it struggled to keep up with their streaming competitors.

Hulu has been slow to bring their Live TV service to the PS4. However, other streaming competitors including Sling TV and AT&T TV NOW are still not available on PS4.

Hulu with Live TV is a streaming service that gives you access to live TV without the hassle and headache of a traditional cable or satellite TV contract. For $54.99 per month, you get access to live streaming of 50+ channels and you can record live TV using the service’s cloud-based DVR. Premium channels (HBO, Cinemax, SHOWTIME, STARZ, etc.) are available at additional cost. The on-demand content that Hulu is famous for is also available with Hulu with Live TV, including Hulu Originals.

You can access Hulu with Live TV using Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV, Chromecast, Roku, iOS, Android, and web browsers. You can also access the service using select Samsung, LG, and VIZIO Smart TVs. Hulu with Live TV is also available on other gaming consoles including Xbox 360, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

The move to offer Hulu with Live TV on PS4 comes in the midst of several other changes since the company became majority-owned by Disney. These changes include CEO Randy Freer stepping down, the promotion of Chief Marketing Officer Kelly Campbell to president, and a new partnership with FX that includes exclusive FX content for Hulu.
