Wow Franz, what a great use case. Thanks so much for sharing. I hope more independent videographers start to use Vimeo in that way. This makes complete sense. For my wedding sharing the footage was such a hassle, shipping DVD’s out to family and friends. If had known about Vimeo then, i would definitely would have pushed my wedding planner to use it. Hi Jenna, I totally agree. At $60 a year you end up paying an average of $5 a month for unlimited content. Compared to upwards of $100 a month for standard cable or dish TV, its a no-brainer. For those of you new to Vimeo, start with the free access, and if you like it, check out the $60 a year subscription Jenna mentioned. Thanks for reaching out Jenna!

Paying $60 a year is nothing when you get to see thought provoking films in return. I have been a member of Vimeo for over 3 months now and the film buff in me is having the time of her life! Independent film making is the best thing that happened to movie industry and Vimeo has a great selection of it. The great thing is with that minimal fee you get to enjoy shorts, full length, feature independent films without having to line in the cinema and at the comfort of your favorite couch! Not bad, right? Thank you for sharing this Kill the Cable Bill!

I once had a cameo for an independent film short back in 2011. That’s the reason I have stumbled upon Vimeo. Our director/wedding videographer has this PRO account with Vimeo where he showcases all his work, our film short included. We were also given DVD’s as souvenirs for our participation in the film and the great thing about Vimeo is that it does not affect the quality of how your film shot. Watching our film in full HD was so much fun and the best part is we can watch it over and over again because our director has reduced the restrictions of the video posted and we can share it to friends as much as we want. I have signed up for a free account myself since then!
